To be fair: Most of the positives of leaving macOS are solvable WITH macOS, at least to an extend where it does not matter anymore.

@linux @linux@diggita.com I think most of the negatives can be managed, at least by people with reasonable knowledge of IT. The negative that I haven’t seen mentioned is about the excellent HW platforms (in terms of power/weight/volume) that Apple has designed in the past few years, especially for laptops: I’d sorely miss those, should I switch. And I’d like to switch back to Linux.

Dopo 2 anni di Debian full immersion, venendo da 17 anni MacOS ed avendo vissuto dagli anni d’oro alla drastica enshittification degli ultimi 8 anni, la mia soluzione è vivere la vita informatica totalmente su Linux e ridursi a un Mac Mini per quelle poche cose in cui ancora Linux non è pronto al 100%, cioè photo e videoediting professionali. Ma per tutto il resto, ormai non c’è motivo di non passare a Linux. Su MacOS ho anche Firefox e Libreoffice, per tenere un “ecosistema FOSS”
