Ho lords… so many crevices…

That’s exactly what I have foreseen :) I saw another post a while ago showing that and I had geotextile in excess so I used it with the remaining of the rocks we had around.

This is my next nemesis : routing the conduits to my basement while keeping as much as possible of the 12cm foreseen for the slab. It’s an old staircase when they still needed to shovel coal in the basement. At some point someone closed it roughly with some prefab slab. So clearance is limited if I want to keep it as is and not take it apart (which would be… a long and shifty process). I’m currently missing about 3cm. I’ll see this week if I can grind them somehow.
Il heb ok een van deze gebruik. Slecht slecht expérience. 😅
I think an actual French drain requires some kind of pierced tubing running along the drain. I don’t think I will bother with that.
I’m taking a mental note of that. More laser fun yeahhhh
I have foreseen some kind of drainage around with a gravel ditch that leads to our water egress thingy. Though our piece of land usually drains quite well unless it pours for weeks.

Technology@lemmy.world•Top AI Researchers Terrified of a “Chernobyl Moment”: a Mass Casualty Event, or Worse, That Turns the World Against AI ForeverEnglish
6·14 days agoHold on a minute… the field of AI and in general algorithms and models is quite old. LLM is relatively new in there. For science and healthcare we’ve been using specialist ai for a long while for things like image processing, sequencing and what’s not. Those are absolutely monitored have have generally high standards because they are healthcare related already. Don’t mix those things.
Both because it’s more safe and secure. Plus I have very fond memories of LAN parties and without private servers and local multiplayer kids won’t be able to experience that :(
Having the possibility to setup a server allowed me to setup one for my sons and I. I’d rather have that then them going online…

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why don't urban/suburban streets and roads use a center storm channel?
6·15 days agoThat and to clean those central channels the crew would likely block the whole street instead of one side at a time.

2·24 days agoI don’t doubt I’d get the brain to handle the load or die trying… Somehow the dedication in UO felt more rewarding than current systems. Lemme do 1000000 potions to level alchemy and bake 100000 breads… it was so open.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why is leadership valued so much over expertise?
1·27 days agoHere’s a point though; to build vertical experience as an expert I’m starting to suspect that one would be less subject to changing companies.
Whereas leaders have no need to stay in place and change more often.
And one typically increases their compensation package much faster via changes of employer.
Just my thoughts contemplating that I just reached the low bar on my function band as a coe lead after 8 damn years into the function. Loyalty isn’t rewarded.

She’s diversifying as of late? Good cause though.
