Could’ve enjoyed whatever time I have left with greater financial freedom and travel. My wife and I could’ve easily picked up and lived around the world if we wanted.

I love my kids and wouldn’t backtrack my decision, but I fear I’ve doomed them to a shit world, in which I will co-suffer with them for some time.

My sister decided to kill the reproductive curve of our family by choosing not to have kids. I don’t blame her at all.

Agriculture, particularly animal ag, experiences a massive collapse, based on feedlot crop failures. Good for the animals, good for the climate, bad for those who rely on animal products 3+ times per day.

Plus, further population decline. Also, a good thing for the environment. We’ve hit the ceiling of success through the technology we’ve utilized to succeed. Now it’s exceeded its benefit and we’re self-regulating our population.

This will disproportionately affect those in developing nations with higher reproduction rates and less food security. Millions upon millions will die from starvation.

Can’t wait to see the faces of those encouraging this suffering, when they realize the sky wizard isn’t coming to save them. It may be the only pleasure I get in a future of suffering, where all of us have to experience preventable suffering, based on the decisions of dumb assholes.

I don’t know what to tell you when the Russian ministry of defense in 1993 reported the total military death toll was 8.7 million AND that is a conservative figure.

It was a bad joke, for sure, but not inaccurate one.

On a serious note, the USSR wasn’t prepared for full-scaled war when Germany invaded. What they were up against made their struggle even more valiant and their victory so much more tremendous.
