    As someone that was hiring that is correct and I didn’t read the other 200 resumes sent in either. Picked 5, interviewed and hired 1 out of the 5 resumes I read

      Reminds me of the green text of the HR person who throws the top half of the resume pile in the garbage because they don’t want unlucky people working there

        Well, it’s all about timing. Plus I had zero assistance from our HR team. So this is me doing this solo when it’s not my primary job. It’s more time consuming then you’d expect

        No, its not. I also hire and we take the time to look through the CVs of relevant candidates. If I call someone in I will have questions about their CV for the interview.

        Where the lottery actually exists is whether you are the same type of person as the interviewer, because that has more of an influence on whether you get hired.
