    Imagine unironically thinking that mildly antagonizing your cat is animal abuse.

    Anyone who actually has cats knows they have no trouble telling you when they’ve had enough. But mildly antagonizing is how they play.

    I got slapped once (with claws) for putting my face too close to my cat’s belly. I have learned my lesson about physical autonomy, kisses are now applied on top of head only, 2 max, no excessive mwah sounds.

      A couple of them are borderline (kittens being sensorily overwhelmed), but most are completely okay. Source : know cats well enough to tell
