I like the contrast of OLED but the threat of burn-in outweighs any color improvements over my VA panels. I know you can take measures to greatly reduce that risk, but I just want to use me computer without having to worry about things like hiding my taskbar, man.

So just use the monitor, live life a little instead of being scared of your monitor. I have 2, they’re great.

I dont think anyone is scared, some people just value longevity.

I have displays in use that are 15 years old.

My OLED TV is currently 9 years old and has no noticeable burn in. Used for a lot of gaming and video.

I probably wouldn’t use it for general PC productivity work though, and tbh isn’t suited for it anyway. Odd sub pixel layout for a start, text looked bizarre.

Same, few years short of that though.

Text only looks weird in some apps, mostly windows stuff like word and excel and windows menus… Websites are fine, as are most modern apps.
