    I don’t know when that crater happened but not far from it is the petrified forest. Which if you don’t know is from trees falling into swamp water/mud and basically becoming rock. So at one point that area was a jungle/swamp as well.

      Yeah I was aware, just haven’t looked into into the local prehistoric environments of Arizona once the interior seaway ceased then there’s a gap until the last epoch give or take. Fun fact the original spreader species for avocados was a species of giant ground sloth.

      Anyways it was just idle wondering from me, I find the history of local environmental conditions interesting. For example densely forested Crete or Scotland during early historical accounts but not within any modern periods.
