Sometimes Iām not sure. Sometimes I feel less confident in my work, that I feel things arenāt quite up to par. Lately, thatās been the reason I havenāt been posting new art but for sporadically. Iām dissatisfied with my concert photography, and Iām dissatisfied with my urban photography. I think Iām in a slump.
But this is the picture I took lately that I dislike the least. Sure, the power lines obscure the buildings, but thereās lots of little lines to follow, elements and textures moving around in the image. Itās an image people participate in, that people built.
And I suppose the juxtaposition between the closer and smaller industrial area at the front, and the monolithic city with the glow in the back, is nice.
Sorry Iāve gone a bit without submitting work. I will try to do better.
Lemmy is a better place with your photography on it
I like how the little loop on the building near the sunset is framed
I am always grateful for all your beautiful shots of my hometown that I miss so much.
As a Portland resident, this is great. There are moments of beauty here. I like it.
I personally love power lines. They show the world as weāve made it, and even nature photos if there is a power line I try and work with them instead of avoid them. Here is one of my favorite pics Iāve taken of a
Double Rainbow

I consider that to be a rainbow picture despite power lines taking up half the real estate. Now youāve got me wanting to post power line pictures
And to double down on what a previous comment said, Lemmy is better with your photos and it always brings me joy seeing your work
Keep posting Ptown youāre making me homesick
Just because your pictures make this a better place doesnāt mean you owe us your art. I hope you find some joy. Lots of people are struggling these days. Thanks for sharing this picture and making my day a bit better.
I enjoy urban photography. One tiny comment on this picture: I wouldāve waited until that black truck had moved in or out of the parking space. Would have made for a cleaner image.
I have those, but I went with this one. Itās imperfect, itās human, and itās good detail. Itās people living.
Fair, itās all personal preference.
