Campaign mailers urging Ohio voters to support a socialist U.S. Senate candidate over Democratic nominee Sherrod Brown are being underwritten by a newly incorporated PAC with ties to Donald Trump’s MAGA Inc., public filings show.

The mailers are sponsored by Enough Promises Ohio PAC and began arriving in voters’ mailboxes in recent days. They promote independent candidate Greg Levy over Brown with messages such as ā€œJoin the Revolutionā€ and ā€œSend a Worker to the Senate.ā€ Levy describes himself as ā€œSocialist running for the U.S. Senate to represent Ohio in 2026ā€ on his X account.

Levy condemned the fliers for falsely impersonating his campaign and engaging in ā€œdirty tricksā€ designed to mislead voters. He said he is considering legal action.

A lot of voters (based on my own experience, a lot of older voters – yes I am aware there are many exceptions) are simply afraid of the word ā€œsocialismā€.

There are many good reasons why, not the least of which is it being at the center of a decades-long campaign by the US government to demonize anything that isn’t unfettered capitalism.

Until there isn’t such a clear divide, this will be exploited. They know that a whole swath of voters who otherwise believe themselves to be progressive will falter at the polls if the S word comes up. It is one of the points of such a psyop.
