Honestly even normal monitors are starting to fail at 2-4 years because they underspec the backlight LEDs, have faulty T-con boards, bad flatflex edge bonding, etc.
If they can get the price of OLEDs within 25% of a good IPS monitor like for like, I’d just get the OLED knowing the monitor has a lifespan either way.
I’m still waiting for something that won’t get noticeable burn in after a few years of use.
Overblown. So many tests have been done. It’s hard to get burn in on a good OLED. I’m going 6 years on mine being used as a desktop monitor.
