I heard about Lemmy from Mental Outlaw and it caught my interest. The Reddit API situation made me finally decide to drop Reddit and make an account on lemmy.world. I haven’t turned back since.

That stupid day when Elon carried a sink around Twitter HQ. It was trending fascist long before that, there was just something about the utter stupidity of that stunt that clicked with me. Been on Mastodon ever since. (Came to Lemmy later that year when Reddit started chirping about getting rid of their API.)
