The Lemmy instance slrpnk.net automatically provide a XMPP account as well with the same ID and password as your federated address.
You can join movim.eu as well, it’s hosted in Germany and the main maintainer is French
Here’s a German one. The guy behind it also hosts Mastodon, Friendica, Pixelfed,… instances and so far they have been quite stable. I haven’t used XMPP there yet, though.
