The U.S. as a generalized complaint about the country. I understand complaints about the current government, but condemning the country makes about as much sense as condemning all Israelis for the actions of their current government, or all Russians for the actions of theirs, or all Chinese for the actions of the CCP. People are so eager to hate on Americans, and they don’t realize they’re as human as the rest of us, their society as complex as any. Lemmy is rife with anti-American commentary. It’s sad.
