    As owner of Arm, they have a clear interest in Intel being a competitor to TSMC.
    I bet this investment isn’t that big for Softbank, and their calculation is that the potential gains outweigh the possible loss.

    For instance like if Intel has a 30% chance of survival, but on the other hand if they do, the sock price will increase more than 4 times. Then the potential gains outweigh the risk.

    If this can help Intel on the fab side, that is clearly a bonus for Softbank.
