hile we caught a lot of new products at this year’s Computex from Sapphire, their offerings, especially in the motherboard category, have been mainly region-limited to China. However, it appears that Sapphire is preparing for the global launch of its motherboard series. […]
Very good looking board.
One thing though, I absolutely hate the bend “flat” SATA connectors, they are very inconvenient when you make changes when everything is mounted IMO. That is a 100% looks over function “feature”, and I absolutely hate when looks trump function.
Keep it out of the way of the GPU is what I ask, same for the m2 slots, but apparently they have to be right up to the GPU where they are difficult to access. 🙄
My current MOBO has it too, but I definitely don’t like it.Do you mean “flat” as in facing parallel to the motherboard?
Yes.
Hm, I guess for me the pain I’ve had with motherboard SATA connectors has more to do with there not being enough space to navigate my hands in the case than the connector’s direction. Having them connect parallel to the board has the (perhaps minor) advantage of keeping them out of the way of Super Long™ graphics cards or any other PCIe cards.
I actually like the design of the motherboard, it stands out but in a good way. The styling is also minimalist.
I didn’t know Sapphire made motherboards, in my country they only offer AMD/Radeon GPUs.
