I’m getting the same scores/results for Safari + uBOL and Orion + uBO but I’ll stick with safari for a bit just for a change in pace.

That was my reminder to update my system. Thanks!
I’ll test out Safari + uBO for a bit and see if I prefer it. Do you have any sites you can check for how good your adblocker is? I used to use one but that was ages ago, I don’t remember the name anymore.
That app doesn’t work with the current version of safari. This is what I see when trying to enable:
“uBO Lite” is not supported by this version of Safari.
I’ve been using Orion with uBlock and have been satisfied the last few months.
uBlock Origin is also available on iOS/iPadOS but only through the Orion browser. It would be nice if other browsers figured out how to allow Firefox extensions too but so far it looks to just be Orion.
I own an M1 MacBook. I don’t use it nearly as much as my main pc (gaming laptop with CachyOS (Arch-based, btw)) but it’s very well built and is well optimized. If I could get the build of a MacBook but with the specs of my gaming pc without spending 2x the price as I would on a pre-build windows machine I would absolutely do it.
I’ve been distro hopping a little bit and honestly in my experience, anything based on Ubuntu has been inconsistent at best. Stock Ubuntu (or specifically Kubuntu since I prefer KDE) was the worst but Mint gave me issues too. Meanwhile, Fedora- and Arch-based distros have been perfect. Literally more consistent than MacOS or Windows for me, every single time. Personally I wouldn’t try another Ubuntu-based distro unless it was highly recommended.
Everyone I’ve read that’s used Fedora has liked it. I’d consider it on a secondary machine or something maybe.
Cachy has been awesome, I’d recommend it if you decide to change distros in the future. I’m enjoying Arch as a base more than Ubuntu for sure. I haven’t tried anything based on Fedora though other than Bazzite which is immutable, so I’m not sure if that really counts.
Nix seems cool but its big selling point that I’ve read is easy reproduction which I don’t think I’d utilize much. I might be missing something, but Arch seems more for me personally.
I distro hopped a bit but landed on CachyOS, which is arch-based (btw) but a lot more straightforward to install and has a faster kernel supposedly. It’s been fantastic, I much prefer it to windows. Still getting used to the occasional hiccup but it’s worth it. I was never too attached to windows anyway. I’m currently running KDE Plasma but I want to try out Hyprland or something similar. It seems really cool. I have to look into how to download it though.
I’d love to build my own pc, maybe in a few years. I’m currently using a gaming laptop which is good enough for most games, but when I feel the need to upgrade I’m gonna build.
I’m so glad I switched to Linux when I did (a couple months ago). I was dual booting for a bit but two weeks ago I removed my windows partition. Feels good to be free.
I’m glad I’m not the only one advertising Jesse Welles on here. He’s probably my favourite musician right now and I feel like no one is talking about him. His lyrics align perfectly with the average lemming I feel like.
Also Ren is cool. I don’t like rap but I like him. He’s got great lyrics.
