Yes I do. What’s your point? You think Russia stopped doing all the things it was doing while leading the soviet union? It is the same imperial Russia. Nothing has changed. Especially not its attitude and hostility to Europe.

There is literally an entire Wikipedia page on the topic: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_influence_on_the_peace_movement
Don’t take my word for it, read up on it yourself.

These pacifist ‘human rights’ organizations are funded and recruited by Russian foreign intelligence services to try to prevent or at least delay the build up of military power in Europe and its ability to resist future Russian invasion.
They can be safely ignored.

Ironically, this is probably the way it is going to go. As we keep going deeper into the information age, managing all the information thrown at us is becoming unmanageable. With the introduction of AI it will get worse, even as AI becomes the only way of handling the influx of information. Using machine learning has been a way to sort information for a long time (spam sorting is a type of AI after all) and present generative AI are an evolution of that.

It is peer to peer, you cannot ban or remove it, it is here forever. There are no central points to remove. It is individuals networking with other individuals.

Because eventually the grid electricity costs too much. If you consume more than the community, then the prices will be astronomical. Then it is profitable to build a power plant. If they are generous, they could even sell some electricity to the community for a “reasonable” price.

Since data centers will be run by nuclear power on-site in the future they will soon have both…

Lots of nsfw sites like manyvids use bitcoin or others. It works just fine once you get used to it. No government or bank controls bitcoin, making it and sites using it immune to shutdown like this. They’d have to take down the actual site and even that pirate bay and others have shown is futile.

This is what Bitcoin was invented for. No government or bank can control it.

I read the article and it didn’t mention any of that. It didn’t mention what happened on the video at all. Really shitty thing that he did.

What did she do that was humiliating? I get not wanting random videos of oneself online, but why is she so anxious about the video? She was just shopping, what so embarrassing about that?

You are right, they have the most important banking apps for my home country. However, I wonder if you still have to install them via google play store API, like in /e/OS?
Edit: yepp, it is installed via google API and require spoofing the google certificate. This is as they write not a sustainable long term solution, as this could break at any time. Graphene themselves say that the only solution long term is to get governments to develop apps for graphene diectly.

The problem is that the most important apps for users aren’t on those platforms. Bank apps and identification apps. They need to make apps for those platforms first otherwise a switch makes no sense.
Also I have tried Ubuntu touch and it’s a nightmare and dysfunctional. e_OS however works great.

And in Sweden. I don’t think any country in Europe allows voting without photo ID. Could be wrong though.
In our family we are very familiar with dementia and senility. This is not it. He has always been repetitive (I suspect rather autism or OCD). For as long as I can remember he has always retold the same story in the exact same words to me, knowing full and well that he has told me it 12 times or more before. His mother was exactly the same. But it has gotten worse. Maybe it is because I have spent more time with him recently so he gets more opportunities to tell the same story.
In this family we are on the outlook for dementia etc though. But he is aware of his repetition. It is compulsive rather than forgetful. It is just that he tells his conspiracy theories more often, explaining them in the exact same details he did before. it is more annoying than worrisome.
Yeah, that’s what I have decided to do, to stop contradicting him with his extreme views. Just try to change topic instead. It is no use, he is too old to change now, if anything the change is just deeper into what he already was.
Absolutely, but a lot of it is self-caused or because he doesn’t say no. He has had a lot of stress from work because they pile more work on him and he doesn’t refuse it. This mentality of just toughening things out and not try to change things is a life long thing of his that has tainted me too. You don’t talk back to superiors and tell them they are wrong, you just swallow their bullshit and keep your head down. He is the perfect corporate work slave and he thinks everyone else should be that way to, because it is more practical and productive for society… Especially now that he is at a high position in the company. Why won’t these young people stop trying to have a life outside of work? he never did, he was a good unhappy worker, so why aren’t they? Why do they have other ambitions for their lives?! A typical boomer attitude. Kill you inner-self and individuality and mold yourself after whatever society needs you to be.
So naturally he hates anything and anyone who espouses a more individualistic life style, because if they are right and more happy then he has wasted his own life working away and suppressing himself for other’s profit. Minorities should just adapt to the majority and stop asking for the right to live differently. Goes for everyone.
I understand that someone who has seen a lot in life and have a lot of experience will be annoyed when they see someone do something the wrong way for the millionth time, which you know has never worked in the past. But the constant complaining about it and complaining about the same thing too. It isn’t like complaining about it the 311th time is going to fix it… I just had a argument with him, so I guess I am just venting.
Verge let me read the article, but then after i clicked a link to one of its sources, it wouldn’t let me continue reading… Useless.
