If I remember correctly, people from your server need to subscribe to the community for the posts to federate. I can’t remember if it’s just one subscriber or if more are needed. Sorry, that’s not super helpful >.<

I think you might have a federation issue, there are daily posts that I can see. Even one as recent as five hours ago

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you close doors when you live by yourself?
20·1 month agoI keep my doors closed both for climate control and light. I prefer darker spaces but I have indoor vegetable plants in my spare bedroom. I very softly close my doors though, because I’m overly sensitive to sound lol

5·1 month agoSome of my allergies are seasonal. I can only eat cherries in late fall/winter, for example. I assume it’s linked to some pollens that are common in spring and summer. It’s not the case with seitan unfortunately

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Question for those who didn't learn cursive
4·2 months agoHe said that if anyone audited they’d need to be able to read my name in the signature. I still trusted him at that point so I didn’t have much reason to question it lol

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Question for those who didn't learn cursive
15·2 months agoWhen I bought my first car, my dad (who owned the dealership lol) shredded the paperwork that I signed in cursive, and made me re-write in block letters. It’s the only car or other big-expense/important thing that I didn’t sign for with my usual signature.
My other confusing problem with that transaction was I wasn’t allowed to buy the kind of vehicle I wanted. Yes, I was already an adult living on my own by then, but I figured he knew best. (he did not)

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Examples, when ethical concerns stopped scientific advances?
3·2 months agoEvery college chemistry class I’ve taken (5 now) has had a professor asking why no living thing uses all d-aminos. Kinda sounds like that experiment may answer the question one way or another!

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•ladies, how do I take care of my hold ups' silicone bands?
6·3 months agoWash the bands with warm soapy water, and you can try using alcohol to remove the oils on your legs to see if that helps. You can use thin plastic (I just save the bag I get them in) to keep the bands apart and free of lint while stored. I don’t shave, and haven’t had an issue with fine hairs reducing the staying power of the bands, but you may have more dense hair than I do
It could also be that they are simply too wide to stay on you, and this is what I’d bet is happening to you. They stretch a little while warm from body heat, and if it’s too wide there’s very little room to stretch before falling off. Generalized women’s sizes drive me nuts, a large in that brand would fit me at 5’3 and I highly doubt you and I share a thigh size. So my recommendation is that you try a brand for tall women, or at least find one that advertises a thigh measurement.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•I cannot understand what dose of vitamin D I should take
2·4 months agoI think that you should talk to your doctor about your concerns. My doctor prescribed a UVB light that I use for a short period every day and it seems to be helping quite a lot with my muscle pain and vitamin D levels

Technology@lemmy.world•Spotify Music Library Scraped by Pirate Activist GroupEnglish
9·5 months agoBandcamp is what my bands like to use. They often have events (Bandcamp Fridays) where 100% of purchases go to the artists. Some bands also make decent money off merch sales from their own storefronts

Technology@lemmy.world•Spotify Music Library Scraped by Pirate Activist GroupEnglish
211·5 months agoSince day one, we have stood with the artist community against piracy, and we are actively working with our industry partners to protect creators and defend their rights.
Lmao. They protect and defend artist rights so hard they they’ve refused to pay a fair compensation, and have taken it further by promoting AI artists over actual artists. This statement is almost comical after it was reported that they’ve had copy cats to replace King Glizard and the Lizard Wizard when they pulled their albums from Spotify

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•The year is 2036. What is on the front page of Lemmy?
8·5 months agoAssuming Lemmy is still around by then, the front page will have a cat on it.

Potted plants will need water and occasional fertilizer.
