Not from State Farm. Sorry to disappoint. I’m just a half-Iranian American exploring the fediverse. I am interested in science, tech, philosophy, animals, comedy, a wide range of music, and even politics. Though the politics in my country are plain depressing atm.

News flash you dwebs, if it is on ActivityPub, it is not private, there is no encryption.
If you read the article, it really makes the fediverse look like a shithole. Someone on here uploaded csam to take down a project they didnt like. Wtf?
The post says “fediverse” which by its very name implies they are all interconnected.
I get that but the image is referring to it as part of the “fediverse” which it is not as it doesn’t use ActivityPub.
They use a different protocol from the “fediverse”.
So like matrix?
What does signal have to do with anything?
Then what is the point? On here there seem to only be two options, far left and far right. And they both ban each other.
You can also use https://lemmyverse.net/ to search and plug the exact instance in your search and subscribe to it temporarily to see its contents.
God I hope my instance defederates with them.
