One of the biggest reasons I won’t use Ubuntu on anything I care about is because I had numerous upgrade issues with it.
I just realized that the 2 characters in the back of the truck originally aren’t there, and then they randomly appear. It’s in the original episode too.
I use GParted on a live CD/ISO for similar situations. I personally have never put my home directory on a separate partition, so I don’t know if this would somehow not work for you and I suggest backing up your data!
