And often I just use :%s to search and highlight all instances and don’t press enter because I forget the others and I often have to search and replace for docker comppse snippets.

I don’t know enough about OS programming to know if it is the architecture or the (closed source, as mentioned) CPU design itself that is more difficult to implement.

Looking at the MCU space, even with a known architecture (like ARM), each processor has to be individually implemented in software and firmware which is a ton of work, and the only people who necessarily know how are the processor designers unless it is open source. But take that with a big block of salt, because I have never done it, just looking at industry practices.

Outside of the US here: nearly every insurance company in Belgium (that are coincidently also the banks) are 100% scamming people and literally make their entire business model off of ripping people off as much as possible.

Using any and every excuse to deny people the insurance they paid for when they have legitimate claims is literally how they are “profitable.”

Having used it in the browser, it barely works in a browser. >50% of functionality is simply missing. Pretty much only the very very basics of typing and formatting.

I also use libreoffice and actually like calc better than excel because python support ia a first class citizen for programming within the spreadsheet in Calc, but AFAIK macro spreadsheets aren’t very cross compatible, but I guess I work in engineering so every company I have worked with or for uses excel macros, probably not representative of other professions.

Eh, don’t know about that. Probably a very large portion of people would need word/PowerPoint/etc… For company document compatibility.

For sure a lot of people though could easily get by with LibreOffice.

Qobuz connect is something else that only got released 1 year ago. Spotify Connect even is only still in alpha on Music Assistant and that has been around for many years.

You can already for years simply find library items from qobuz in the music assistant UI, but playing music to an external Music Assistant provider directly from the Qobuz app on a different device has yet to be implemented.

Unless the documentation and github issues are all wrong. If you are able to just do that by default, you probably want to give some information as to how on the github feature request.

Then you don’t have to use Music Assistant’s really clunky and weird interface and anyone that comes to your house can just put on music from their own account and own app direct through WiFi without worrying about Bluetooth connection and signal.

I just looked and apparently Qobuz has a Connect feature that launched last year!

I hope Music Assistant integrates that! Apparently digital hi-fi systems are also still busy integrating the functionality, including Sonos/IKEA. It would help a ton of people switch to quobuz

The coolest feature is the Spotify Connect which turns your MA speaker into a Spotify Connect satellite to play to directly from the app. (I know, Spotify is terrible, but it is an admittedly Connect is a very very good feature in both Spotify and MA). Sadly, it is very buggy when testing. For me it worked well for a while, but now it bungles Spotify encoding and plays very very slow and distorted

It plays my home library very well through my ESP32S3 DAC to my old 90s Yamaha AV receiver and amp. (Side effect of also being able to control the sound system via HomeAssistant and IR and use voice assistant on a MEMS mic.

Like others have said, the interface is very clunky and bad for browsing your library of local music, but oh well. I also wish it had a radio function for your local music.

We love our wevibe stuff. Expensive, but great UI and very good texture. The Sync has gotten a lot of mileage in the last 7 years and going strong.

I wish I could use Graphene, but the pixel’s pitifully small and expensive storage to force you into cloud storage really makes an SD card necessary. I have around 200GB on my phone + SD already(including OS), and I don’t want only 50 GB for more photos and music in the next 7 years WITH the more expensive option…

I started using Dockhand for container administration. It is pretty new, but works well.

You can view container logs, update/restart containers, and run a terminal inside of the containers, but not the host system.

You can create a new socket proxy just for the containers that you want to give them access to maybe.

And every year new open mass surveillance worse than the UK and US attempts to be passed and barely fails.

GDPR also doesn’t mean shit if it is barely enforced against large companies or the fines aren’t revenue-proportional… Then it is just a cost of doing business.

Suunto is now a Chinese company. They got bought out a few years ago.

Withings (horrible biometrics tracking, like 70% accurate) and Polar ate the only two European companies of consumer wearables AFAIK.

Sadly, Apple and Amazfit (specifically the helio strap) and a few Garmin models have the best biometrics tracking. Polar is quite mediocre for their watches, though their chest straps are the best in the business.

No idea, but it wouldn’t be something I was willing to stake precious documents on.

I think SimpleX is the only one that fits that.

Sadly, the developers started crypto NFTish integrations last year. It is still too early to see if their use of it will end up being good or a slippery slope into crypto scams.
