They banked really hard on Starfield being the game that’ll determine how things will go for them. Starfield ended up not being that good of a reception because it was simply overhyped. Now everyone’s expectations on TES VI and Fallout 5 are all but lukewarm because they’re expecting more of the same which is Bethesda’s model.

But really, Starfield was that game for Bethesda and it under-delivered.

Email is something we simply cannot live without. They are primary sources of communication to reach you like account notifications, what accounts you’ve registered with it and vice versa.

GMail is not that easy. Because, there are places and services that use e-mail clients that are easy to be sent to and received by GMail. I’ve experienced this with ProtonMail for a while, where there’ll be services and individuals that could not reach me through my Proton e-mail and I’ve had difficulty reaching out to them.

I’ll continue to use ProtonMail myself. But, I can’t in good conscience feel in reason to support this company with my money and I’m especially concerned with relying on ProtonVPN so that will be getting uninstalled.

This is just not how you win people over and I’m tired of this day and age in tech where companies like this, pad their PR up with promises then do a 180 on their attitude towards everyone who uses their products that makes everyone second guess them. It’s bad enough we have things like Discord who has spent a couple years, making themselves look good and cozy for the public market that have alienated its userbase.

Bluesky showing their true colors and then we have this asshole CEO on Proton taking a dump whenever he pleases on the values of why we bothered using Proton in the first place.

Because of course they did.

The only way this war can even end is when the US side of who is handling the war is just dead and replaced. Israel too.

It’s really not that hard to see why these executives are placed in their positions for. We’ve been seeing it in practice for a few decades now. Everything he’s saying is nothing we hadn’t heard before either.

I’m sick of hearing about Ed Sheeran. There are and have been people who have apolitical stances because they know how absolutely fucked the USA is and has been to where we can do so little. People who become so wired up about politics and societal issues, are in a miserable cycle of cynicism, pessimism, doomer-mindset that it drags everybody down within their presence.

I think it’s okay for some of us to try and get some leverage on the lives that we do have and try to enjoy them again. I’m not saying it’s OKAY about where everything seems to be, because it’s not. I’m just saying we need hope, solace and sanity in these times than dwelling ourselves into miserable hopelessness that it costs us our future.

The point is, is that people can’t be civil enough. True freedom of speech doesn’t give you the right to shout down anyone you think is wrong when they’ve proven you wrong. That’s not how it works.
