What if you’re down with going down?

What if you’re down with going down?
Because there was a former employee active shooter.
And here I was expecting the AI to be depressed.

Both even shorter-lived than the first pass. It’s not like the human race doesn’t routinely recycle old concepts.

I see this lasting about as long as the bell bottom pants fad of the 1970s, or the pants worn so low that they reveal literally at least half your underwear (and/or ass) fad of the 1990s.
A decade or two later nobody will admit to having done so, even though some box in storage somewhere will contain proof otherwise,
A combination of man, woman and sperm
So… a porno?

To remind you just how much you were fucked when paying for it.

He can introduce the most sane, rational, logical bills this country has ever seen, and there’s no chance of it passing until after the 2028 election at best. Even with the current progressive momentum, there simply aren’t going to be enough votes to pass anything good (especially enough to overcome any virtually certain veto) unless progressives rout everybody else in both this year and the 2028 elections.

Nobody who actually understands sleep believes it gives energy all by itself. It gives your brain time to do some “house cleaning,” clearing out the cobwebs as it were. Yes, you wake up feeling a bit more refreshed, but that will diminish in short order without breakfast to give your body the fuel it needs to create that energy you’re taking about.

The device is a long way from restoring normal vision. The images it produces are black and white and the field of vision is extremely narrow. Hodak described the experience to the Financial Times as “kind of like looking through a straw in the center of their vision,” though he added that they see a pathway to color vision and higher acuity.
Unless they can backport the future improvements somehow, I’d wait as long as possible before jumping on it with those limitations.

Finally. Gun violence I can support!

Don’t be surprised if you find hexbear giving you similar twitches.

No worries. I’m sure they’ll be fleecing as many as they can in a shared access scheme.

The answer — as it is for most things — is money.

This must be your first non-political (mostly) cultural phenomenon. It’ll run its course in 3-4 months, after which it’s going to be something else or back to politics as in the USA it will be election time.

µBlock doesn’t have just one list. You can go into its settings and choose which of many lists to use (and even add your own). There’s probably not going to be a list that manages what you want right now. There are likely hundreds of such sites being made almost every day now with open source AI models.
With so many techies losing their jobs to AI, I’ll bet it seems like a low-hanging fruit method of generating cash to many of them. Most will stop when they find the costs outweigh the benefits (while leaving dead sites up in their wake), but others will just be starting so the cycle will continue.
Yeah, humanity’s fucking itself pretty hard right now.

A missed opportunity would’ve been to identify as a “Plan 9” OS user, causing panic about attacks from alien-controlled undead.

Don’t forget using them to hide somewhere out of reach when the peasants finally revolt.

Paper’s easy. Find someone who knows how to replace the image drum so you don’t get ghost reprinting all the way down the page.
I was thinking more George Michael when I read that.
