Yeah this. People cuss at the price of repair sometimes being even higher than a new product (which is a valid criticism) but you’re still more likely to be supporting a local worker rather than some faceless megacorp (though probably any spare parts might come from a corp, but at least some of the labor is rewarded as is due)


I’m in my 40’s and by golly do I like charts.
I mean I realize that my whole topic might specifically attract only my age group to respond. But it’s not like I’m making an academic study 😅

Was working at a kitchen as a dish washer. Had this little cart to pick up plates etc. from the restaurant side. Was just returning the cart, fully loaded into the kitchen, to the dish spot and bumped the wheel into something, or it jammed. Tons of plates and food scraps on the floor…
