Oh wow. You’ve just unlocked a core memory. I said in another reply that my friends and i used to LAN play this at an after school club. Fun times indeed. We found it quite unreliable though so played a lot more Starcraft.

Similar here. At our upper school (13 to 18) we had an after school gaming club and would play LAN GTA Starcraft and even Carmageddon.

IIRC the EU version of Wipeout had a big box edition which included a CD too.

Edit: I’ve done some digging and no it didnt. But they did release an audio CD to accompany Wipeout 2097

I can see why 1, 2 and London are so forgettable. If it wasn’t for 3, GTA wouldn’t be the behemoth it is today. You’re not wrong it was an absolute game changer not only for the series but the entire gaming industry.

I think Bungie were desperate for Trials of Osiris to be some sort of eSports juggernaut, but they could never ever get the balance right so tried and have seemingly failed with Marathon. Only thing that can save Bungie now is either a totally new IP with massive backing or Destiny 3 and to not make the same mistakes. They wouldn’t even need to change the engine. No one ever complained about the graphics or sound or gameplay in D1 and 2. Just do 3, with none of the bullshit of the last 12 years.

You just know its going to be an early access, live service game.

I recently played the enhanced PC version. It holds up really well. There are a couple of gameplay mechanics that would make it more playable, but its still great fun and I love the B movie aspect of its characters and voice acting.
