Electricity and water. Those actually have a real cost to provide, unlike software
Laptops for consumers have never been good, the reason thinkpads are reliable are because they are sold to businesses (with extensive service warranties)
I use mine as a low power server. Whenever I feel like tinkering with a website or something, I can just ssh into it without thinking about electricity usage. Jellyfin and such is also a good usecase

Rent, but I can’t afford to save up towards my down payment because I have to spend it on rent
I know some clients show that, but the culture here is generally quite against the concept. Tends to lead to people being scared of going against the majority and creates a hive mind mentality to keep karma high.
My local government news. Call me a sheep but since they don’t farm clicks they seem to have the most nuanced and engaging stories. For-profit news these days are just doom-posting and rage bait.



The US isn’t the great Satan, they are quite contemporary satan. Russia, China and Iran are all imperialist, anti democratic and have even worse human rights violations.
You don’t have to pick a side, these are all asshats, some more than other though.
