Can we stop posting YouTube videos for everything - especially plain video links without a descriptive summary?
Nobody wants to watch a 30 minute video for something that can be summed up in a 250 word article.

Sports rights holders are bleeding money due to IPTV got even more greedy and they own the politicians.
Look into self hosting pangolin on VPS. I have it hosted at infomaniak.ch - it’s basically a self hosted cloudflare tunnel, so you are not exposing your IP. These days this is absolutely preferred over using dyndns and exposing your IP.
As far as Neobanks like wise or similar are concerned, mostly yes.
To access my banks website I need to authorize the login with the mobile app, there is no alternative to using either iOS or stock Android to get in - NONE.
Doing transactions at the bank, even at the terminal is not free and also ridiculously inconvenient…
As far as mobile payments go, i live in a country with its own currency so my only option to get favorable exchange rates in the EU is using a virtual card from a Neobank which only works with Apple or Google Pay.
We need rules regulating that banks do not rely on closed services to function - period.
Suggesting to use a second used phone for banking is ridiculous, for most of us banking and mobile payments are literally the most important functions of a phone after getting messages and email.
Cause it’s a European / national security concern in the long run.
Maybe they can regulate themselves first as a start then. They already use Matrix, so it’s not like they are completely lost regarding IT Security and FOSS.
We need the EU to regulate Banking and Payment apps to not rely on Google apis first and mandate that they have to be available in open app stores or as apk.
I constantly have issues with Sonarr or Radarr overwriting French originals with horribly dubbed versions because I have English as the default language, same for German originals.
I would just love a way that would always prefer the original language if it’s one of the languages I speak - but that’s currently not possible.
Nice, this might finally allow me to have an English, German and French Library without having conflicts all the time.
I do live at 3 locations in 2 countries for work reasons and have a wireguard VPN server at my primary home that acts as a gateway for all my traffic, not only because of streaming but also because my bank locked me out for suspicious behavior before. The routers at locations 2 and 3 are sending all their traffic to my primary home.
No issues with this setup, I can only recommend it. I also have a centralized NAS this way and all my home assistant instances are interconnected.
