Well written response, don’t know why you are downvoted. Makes me think back to a philosophy class where I questions if we are more than a machine that is able to product certain formulations or responses based on how our brains are set and the relevant input. For instance based on context it’s very easy for me to guess what my partner is thinking. For myself, where do my thoughts come from? Can I think a truly random thought? I’ve no idea and I think not. How is that different than ai? Because I have built neuron connects forming this framework that is my mind and allow my ideas to be formed unlike just randomly guessing. On the flip side, as an academic am I not just making an educated guess every time I think?

This is 95% more information than you can consume or find useful. I cannot get these type of homepages except to have done a thing and feel happy about it. My “homepage” is a link to all my services, but I rarely use it because of that thing in between my ears that allows me to remember what service I want to use.
I don’t think there is a file in my Firefox directory that is Google.com but I get your point, that’s cache tho.
That’s an interesting idea, do I want my website guaranteed to be fully downloaded to someone else’s computer tho lol
Running a singular OS—I like that I can run the same system on my current four computers—two servers, one desktop, and one 12 year old Microsoft laptop.
Selfhosting—It started with an interest in Jellyfin and Qbittorrent, which led to running my own server(s), progressing to wanting to learn more Linux and run a singular OS for all devices. I think this point is focused on an interest in selfhosting.
Control—I don’t like customizing my systems, its a waste of time, but I enjoy having complete control and ownership over them.
Trust and Privacy—I don’t want to use any software that doesn’t respect the user enough to show the source.
Freedom—I believe media, software, and information should be open access to all.

Jellyfin respects your folder structure is what I mean!

dang, you’re right!

Music on my server via Soulseek downloads and shares. I share it via SMB share and Jellyfin with tailscale to all my devices.
People often recommend Navidrome but its lack of care for folders irks me.

Bro is this literally not you??

I get that!
idk if english is your first language so ill correct (with kindness) that the expression is off my chest.

thanks for clarifying bro

why does it say claude…?

Bro forget what he told me via pm, lol! I know who you really stalin for bro

My journey began with windows, Jellyfin, and qbit. Nice you have done the same! Only reason I switched to Linux is because I wanted servers and hated unraid

64g of ram is pretty darn powerful already!

Fun read ya tankie, thanks for sharing

It’s not Linux, g-g-fascist-gnome is

I never get this problem…? Download the backup file and encrypt it and be done. Family has the file and/or the password, done.
Ugly and small, cool idea tho
