kilometers per hour are both the same system, called the metric system.
hour are not a metric unit though?
i already do. a person requires 8 MJ of energy/day, that’s about 100 W on average.
the thing is that if there’s only a single post, most people will just scroll by and say “well, linux has been promoted for decades, whatever, i’m not gonna switch now”. if however there are all of a sudden 20 posts about it, people start wondering “why now” and realize there’s reasons today that weren’t there last year. and also it’s nice to hear multiple journalists’ opinion about alternatives or methods.

4·15 days agoThis is indeed an important point. We’re making us controllable by the US through the media platforms. Basically whoever controls the recommendation algorithm can sway public opinion one way or another, and that’s very dangerous if europe ever enters an armed conflict with the US.

we already have matrix chat, XMPP, IRC, how many more chat protocols do we need?

The thing is that i don’t even want everyone to speak the same language. You know what, i’m actually kinda appreciative that most people don’t speak english fluently so at least they are spared by the mind-boggling mental illness that is called “american culture” and that we’re exposed to through the internet.
