Fuck AI. There is a use case for simple apps like chatgpt.
But, for most things you don’t need AI. Things like chat support for product/services, vibe coded app/website. Its all crap.

If you use addons like Ublock-origin. You can reduce the fingerprinting. You can also disable 3rd party iframes, disable Javascript which can further reduce the data being sent to websites.

Yes, you can limit charging to 80%. Many phones have this feature. But, it still feels like micromanaging tech. Not letting it drop below 20%, being limited to 60% capacity.

No, its not. Deep battery discharge and high heat can reduce your battery lifespan more compared to charging to 100%. You only save a few percentage of battery health at most after 500 charge cycles. Modern day smartphones do not simply charge to 100%. They use multiple heuristics and algorithms to only charge to 100% when necessary.
Anyway, if you really want maximum battery health. Charge from 20%-80%. But, You would in effect be artificially limiting yourself to 60% and be frequently connected to the charger. Also, you would be micromanaging the tech and, not lettin tech do things for you.
Here’s an awesome video by HTX studios who did a battery test for 2yrs: https://youtu.be/kLS5Cg_yNdM

I had to learn English from a young age because it was the primary language used from kindergarten to high school, and even in college.
I improved my comprehension by reading articles and online discussion forums, as well as by watching movies, series, broadcasts, and YouTube videos.
Yeah. It was frustrating to use vim. Emacs on the other hand was so much fun. The amount of things you could tweak and change. I haven’t seen another software which can do this today.

Usually, you can tell if someone is putting some effort. The OP is not even repying to deny any of the comments. So, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

LLMs are good at language processing tasks. Asking it to write code or solve complex maths it will make things up. Plus, it takes large amounts of energy to run them. Not to mention the data needed to train them.
Code written by them always has security holes. Use it to find facts, correct grammer or maybe generate a small paragraph or essay. But, don’t use it to generate code, medical device, etc.
As a recent example Chatgpt cannot answer if there is a seahorse emoji. It will get infinitely stuck in trying to be funny and finding an answer. Changing the answer mid token.

What QOL features improved your experience?
I would watch my back if I were you:#
Fuck sending data to companies. Emacs for the win!

You can instead use apps which block trackers. I can recommend 3.
Netguard with tracker filters enabled, PersonalDNS filter – a fire and forget DNS filter app, or Adguard android app from Adguard website.
The 1st one needs payment to access some pro features but can also block internet connection to all your apps.
The 2nd one is a simple DNS blocker which can have millions of rules and won’t choke under the load.
The last one is not Foss or available on fdroid like the 1st two are, but is much more powerful than the 1st two combined.
Pick your tools and limit information now.

There are videos online.

Yeah, alongside that. Phones also have focus mode, digital wellbeing to limit usage of distracting apps. You can even turn on super power saving mode to limit phone use further and use it for basic functions like phones, messages, web browsing, etc.

Samsung blocks installing apps outside Playstore if you enable their advanced blocker mode. Xiaomi also warns and shows a pop-up for 10-30s preventing it.
Pixel’s advanced protection mode does the same.
Also, when i metioned that I was talking about OEMs forking android and making it harder to use per your needs. Which would mean modifying android which could mean failing some CTS tests for play services. Boot loader unlocking is already on the verge of being killed. Installing apps and other things you currently do on your android could be next if OEMs were allowed free reign.
I received quite a few responses about apps when I wanted to Highlight the bootloader unlocking, custom ROMs, root, etc. I guess my comment was not too clear.

I never said it was. Not sure what you mean.

There are very few things the chinese government does right. This may be one of them.

They need to maintain compatibility with play services to access apps on play store.
Also, starting with OnUI 8 bootloader unlocking is no longer supported. On OxugenOS 16 its only allowed with restrictions. The hardening is already started.
Yeah, AI video! Useless, we have humans we don’t need to burn resources on stupid.
