Yeah. I somewhat doubt any human has read the source code. I wonder what effect LLMs are to capitalism, when actors can reimplement things with LLMs in this manner? Adobe has pushed LLMs a lot, I guess it works the other way too. Stare in to the abyss and it stares back etc.
But interesting to see how the industry reacts to these, as someone has reverse engineered all Adobe’s products using these new tools.

I say this neutrally: from an outsider that has used a number of different languages and ecosystems, the Rust community seems markedly different in their mixing of software development and social causes.
To understand your message better, what makes Rust “markedly different” here, specifically?

PhysicsFS is widely used for this, at least in video-games:
PhysicsFS is a library to provide abstract access to various archives. It is intended for use in video games, and the design was somewhat inspired by Quake 3’s file subsystem. The programmer defines a “write directory” on the physical filesystem.
