But there are normal people living there and also companies doing open source. Linux would be in a way worse state without Redhat for example

If you are a foreign person, even if you live in germany, you need to pay for your visa and those are your only options. Might depend on the city.
Kleinanzeigen is horrible crap. No search filters, high fees, shit to use without “The App™”.

Usenet is very weird but funny in a way. As it is not actually decentralized and often involves fiat payment (non cryptocurrencies) I would prefer a good VPN provider (or even i2p) and torrenting

I will make a post about my setup
Basically, dont use the sites directly, use a search engine that scrapes them. You need flaresolverr for some sites using Cloudflare. Apply for some private trackers, join communities to get invites. Remember to seed as much as possible and avoid hit-and-run.
Gilette has normal “safety razors” and blades afaik. I have a random gilette safety razor as it was the only brand available in a drugstore nearby

Absolutely, fucking trash service.
A day after I first used them and was forced to give them a phone number “for security” I got a fishing SMS claiming to be a bank I am not using.

Lovely when companies like eBay or even the German Administration do not allow any European payment methods…
And I have not found a good ebay replacement yet, apart from Flohmarkt for the Fediverse people (however you use without the webUI)

The best ones are reusable

Yes but that is not E2EE so you need to fully trust them, other than their “encrypted mailbox” where you still need to trust them, but in theory even if the cops want access to the data, they only get the persistent data which is always encrypted (not the email headers and no past emails)
They should provide Etesync, lets write them
I mean that there is MIT and MIT-0 is already odd
There are many variants. Also APL2.0 is just as permissive but protects against patent trolling

Or all the arr things
Havent heard of popcorn time yet
Edit: while I like the idea, I hope that the software at least seeds to ratio 1 by default. Otherwise it is pretty unsustainable for the network

Get torrent archives when they are ready, select the music you like and share that. Way more sustainable than streaming from a hobby project that already costs them insane amounts
You can patch the kernel live? I know that Ubuntu does that
Fun fact, there isnt even an “MIT license”, look:

Yeah tbh I also like the design while I wouldnt use it XD

Mail: mailbox.org or systemli (if you know a user who can invite you)
Calendar: EteSync with DavX5 somehow, needs to be hosted somewhere, I dont know a provider
Notes: no idea, I personally use Syncthing with local notes, but the lack of symlinking on android makes this subpar to “sharing notes with others” on cloud connected notes
Drive: Nextcloud, NFS share, syncthing
VPN: AirVPN, Mullvad, maybe others like incognet
Yes but this ignores open source which is most of the time just good, and doesnt need to be forced to it through regulation
Xmpp or matrix are good Messaging protocols, and both are international projects.
