I joined Lemmy back in 2020 and have been using it as qaz@lemmy.ml until somewhere in 2023 when I switched to lemmy.world. I’m interested in systemd/Linux, FOSS, and Selfhosting.

I was just about to ask, this writing style reminds a lot of LLM’s.
I tried to use it myself and it really isn’t ready yet. It’s missing so many features that a specialized Lemmy instance seems like a much better alternative.
Lemmy.world is considered the “normie” instance. Even if you manage to find another instance, it won’t matter that much anyway since most interactions are from federated users. The only way to avoid leftist views on Lemmy is to avoid politics completely (which isn’t viable).
.world and a majority of the fediverse uses Hetzner afaik.
EDIT: According to Fedidb Hetzner is the most common ASN (excluding Cloudflare).
