there was a wife of a billionaire who drowned by accidentally driving a tesla into a pond on her estate, because of the touchscreen gearshifting problem. I’ll try and look up a source of anyone wants it

1·1 month agoto be clear, i don’t think it’s necessarily a problem for everyone in the city, i guess i was exaggerating. but for the people who live right next to a stadium thoroughfare, or right outside a venue, i imagine it can be denilitating. any idea if that was the case in 2012, one way or the other?
years ago i heard some advice. “if someone walks past while you’re working and says ‘good job!’ then sure, it’s nice, but you’ve forgotten by the time they’ve turned the corner. whereas if someone insults you, if they say your nose looks like a fishing hook with a rotten worm dangling on the end, you can remember that for the rest of your life. it’s not because we only remember bad things, it’s because one is specific, the other general. when you give a compliment, try and be as specific as possible.” i still remember my child hood best friend’s response to ‘why do you hang out with me?’ “because you’re the sort of person who, if i ask you to come and shoot a knockoff version of the hobbit with me in the local woods wearing a dressing gown, i know the answer is gonna be yes, no matter how silly the idea.”

1·1 month agoi sincerely hope my nearest city never has to host a world cup, an olympics, a eurovision, or anything similarly disruptive. even something like a marathon can make it very difficult to get around, and all the tourism overwhelms waste disposal. basically means I’d have to stay home all day. i can only imagine what 2 weeks straight would do to me
the very same! Angela Chao
