My previous calico was stupid as a sack of bricks. She caught one mouse here entire life. We were hanging out by the smoker in the middle of the night and the mouse crawled across her front paws.
She just picked it up and looked at me like “now what?” I had her put the mouse down by the jerk neighbors house
Your standard-issue cat may be able to work a mouse, but mine can do a keyboard…

It is. Oldest part of my computing setup by decades, and still working perfectly. Also robust enough to withstand ‘cat typing’ - the ThinkPad next to it that I use for work is missing a couple of keycaps
Sadly a castrated one. Mice lost their balls decades ago 😞
Their balls got replaced with little lasers, sooooo I don’t know the sexual implications there, but that’s something. ;-)

Logitech M650 Silent click? Saved my marriage ;D
Same! Logitech M90, with a pair of silent switches (I only had two so the wheel button still uses the original switch), and the cord has cat bite marks in multiple places, but it still works perfectly and is (almost) silent.
