Democratic leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives have condemned a raid on Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home as ā€œdeeply disturbingā€ and accused the Trump administration of a ā€œrogue abuse of powerā€ just weeks ahead of November’s midterm elections.

Let’s see if they do anything besides strong words and maybe some paddles.

Oh they’re really upset, very serious finger wagging. We might even get up to ā€œsternly worded letterā€ levels of anger.

Then give them more power. They aren’t gonna act outside of what the law allows them to.

Change takes time and we are moving in the wrong direction. You’re giving the ā€œboth sidesā€ argument and I don’t buy it for a fucking minute. We didn’t have these aggressive ICE tactics under any Dem, we didn’t have wildly reduced NIH, medicare, and medicaid funding under Dems (including food inspection changes that are working against us). We didn’t have ā€œwoke is the cause of all things evilā€ under Dems (and DEI includes protections for disabled people). We didn’t have environmental regulations wiped out under Dems. We didn’t have our election integrity threatened under Dems… I could go on. All these things are incredibly important but because you buy into the ā€œboth sidesā€ argument all you can see are the extremes.
