Germany's Merz says easing of Russia sanctions is 'wrong'

The German chancellor has said a US decision to temporarily allow the sale of sanctioned Russian oil is flawed. Friedrich Merz said the timing of the decision was incorrect and questioned Washington's motive.

No, it is better to become energy independent, but that is harder and takes longer than a press statement.

  I meant in the sense that America sending Russian oil revenue sky-high is currently blowing up in Europe’s face in Ukraine, but yeah that too.
