If this is going to be a term now, I need to point out that digital cameras aren’t organic. Neither is film. Tin types may be, I’m not sure of the chemistry with those.
Is it made from long chains of carbon? Organic
It’s not.
Edit: Actually the film itself is organic… I think.
The cemicals on the film that record and hold the image aren’t organic. That’s what I was thinking of. The actual capture chemistry.I only use fresh, organic, free-range silver nitrate.
By that logic, farmers couldn’t use tractors to harvest their organically sourced veggies.
The tractor isn’t the source of the vegetables, the way the sensor or film is the source of the image. The photo is a representation of the dog, not the dog itself. You could take a photo of an organically sourced vegetable. The veggie would be organically sourced, while the photo is not.
You say dog, I say big fluffy pillow
Oh yeah, she makes a great pillow for short naps.
