There was a time when someone like that would be removed from a Broadway show audience, with no refunds.

I also think we need to do a better job propagating etiquette norms for theatre and musical performances. I’ve noticed a big decline in people knowing, for example, not to clap until the conductor lowers their hands in the past 5 years.

‘The Pitt’ Star Isa Briones Calls Out Fans For Screaming at Her During Broadway Show: ‘F—ing Disrespectful’ Isa Briones Warrick Page/MAX

“The Pitt” star Isa Briones took to social media on Saturday to call out fans who scream at her during her Broadway show. On “The Pitt,” Briones stars as second-year resident Dr. Trinity Santos, but on the stage, she’s currently playing Connie Francis in the jukebox musical “Just In Time.”

“Hey, hey, hey!” Briones wrote on her Instagram Story. “Once again, Broadway is not a circus. Do not yell whatever you want at the performers. Yelling ‘when are you going to finish your charts’ before I sing ‘Who’s Sorry Now?’ is fucking disrespectful to the performers onstage and your fellow audience members. Y’all are pissin’ me off.” Related Stories Deep Water

She added, “Love and light and please remember you are occupying shared spaces and watching art.”

After making her Broadway debut in 2024 as Eurydice in “Hadestown,” Briones joined “Just In Time” on April 1. The musical follows the life and career of American singer-songwriter Boby Darin. Jeremy Jordan, who took over for “Glee” star Matthew Morrison on April 21, stars as Darin. Other cast members include Joe Barbara, Emily Bergl, Carrie St. Louis, Debbie Gravitte, Lance Roberts and Caesar Samayoa.

After it premiered in 2025, “The Pitt” quickly became one of the most popular shows in HBO’s roster. Its first season was nominated for 13 Emmy Awards and took home five, including best drama series, best actor for Noah Wyle and best supporting actress for Katherine LaNasa. “The Pitt” Season 2 premiered on Jan. 8, and is expected to be a major frontrunner at this year’s Emmy Awards.

A very rude thing to do. Just glad it wasn’t a mean spirited comment. Just someone trying to be funny at a stupid time.
