I use a small notebook so it comes in handy to double the title bar to have space to increase the title font to 16 or 18

On debian 12.11 this was the case, but I don’t remember how I configured it or what style I used. The style I now use on debian 13 is adwaita

    Adwata so I’m assuming gnome I tend to use the open bar extension for customisation

      I don’t get it then. I installed debian 13 with xfce and now I’m using gnome??

        No you ommited any kind of detail in your original post so we all had to guess to try and help. You’re still using xfce if that’s what you chose on installation. Pro tip install fastfetch open a terminal and write fastfetch and post the results under your future posts it’ll give us a report of your system.

    Do you mean with “appearance style” the desktop environment? Or the theme of a specific DE?

      I’m on xfce and didn’t find that option. All I see is assistive technologies, keyboard and mouse. Is that for gnome?
