Everything I have seen on this site, and especially the shitposting communities, is that a helluva lot of Lemmings don’t know what a shitpost is.
It is meant to be low effort. It is meant to derail a topic or incite anger.
AI generated slop is the ultimate shitpost. You can not possibly put less effort into it, and nobody likes it.
- I would rather shitposts not fund fascists.
- There is an genre around high-effort shitposts.

Users here occasionally see AI-generated shitposts in this community, and the most obvious ones are downvoted. Your AI-generated shitpost was treated just like all the other AI-generated shitposts here.
They are circlejerking idiocy , why get upset. They don’t like you on their self moderated blog moderated by some kid who couldn’t get likes on reddit, boohoo.

Last I checked, “this is a shitpost” is not synonymous or even remotely close to “I didn’t make it, I found it and thought it was laughably bad”
I explained in the comments I didn’t make it myself and found this shitty image out in the wild. People still crashed out, even at that comment

I post so much, I see it often because I don’t actively check images apart from squinting at them, and using reverse image look up to check dates - the latter is useless for new memes. I literally learned how to check with zerogpt like a week ago.
I get the sentiment of not wanting AI, honestly. Finding out something is fake after the fact sucks, though and diminishes it. Sometimes a post is still funny after the fact.

I am all for calling out AI, but for whatever reason, the cats really bother me. To be clear, I have nothing against the funhole art style or anything. But something about the cats in particular is just frustrating, and I can’t put my finger on what my problem is with it. I genuinely don’t understand my own contradiction here.

I get why someone may dislike that art style. It’s intentionally a bit unsettling, so I understand that someone may not be able to appreciate it. But no, not liking a particular art style doesn’t make it a contradiction.
The cat would be less annoying if the image wasn’t so fucking huge.
And plastered absolutely everywhere, even on posts where it isn’t obvious it’s AI. Saw one where I decided to do a reverse image search and saw results from 2018.
