Based on the spelling on the Github page, I’m not running this. There’s an absolute lack of attention to detail advertised by the abysmal writing in the Readme. Say what you will, but red flags are red flags; and after a few decades we learn that sloppy writing is sloppy writing.
Here’s the unused ram that I keep laying around in a box. Can someone tweet it at Sam for me?

You mean X it?
I’ve just sent an email toward him to report that 2.32Gb of RAM was unused in my computer today.
I will report every.single.day.
FYI, the email is “ceo.admin@openai.com”
I haven’t turned on my PC with 32gb in about a month… How would I email him with the lack of usage of a computer that’s not even turned on? All the PCs in my house probably amount to at least 128gb at idle at any given time, not counting my phones and ‘retro handheld’ computers…
How the F did this guy convince all the world’s richest people to invest in his chatbot?
Rich people, by and large, incredibly stupid and narcissistic. They do not have the intelligence to understand how awful Ai is and they are easily duped by the promise that it will a) do their jobs for them and b) suck them off over how “smart” they are for asking basic questions the whole time.
“Hey guys, if we trade money back and forth for a couple years people will think we’ll be worth more and we can leverage our stock options to make shitloads of money we can use to take even greater control of the economy”
by telling them it was gonna replace knowledge workers. people believe what they want to hear.
No-one consumes the anti-hopium like the C-suite. They already think they’re above the plebes, and that dehumanization went through “them before us” and now is at “their pain for our benefit”. They’re only one step away from “This was Steve in R&D? He’s delicious with the mesquite.”
Because the chatbot felt human enough to trick many people into a hype.
I have a computer with 352 GB just sitting there doing nothing. I finally have a use for it!
Fucking RAM Burglar.
RAM Burglar
Oh shit. This is gold, Jerry. GOLD!
Well, sniffer. He sniffs for free RAM now. 🤭

Do…do you have a list?

We could also save a lot of energy if we stopped using our brains, and instead have AI think for us.
Did anyone ever think of that?Way ahead of you

In fact, the AI data centers can better use that energy. If only there were some way we could capture the energy our body inefficiently generates and use it to help the data centers, almost like a battery.
We could even feed back some of the energy we give to the data centers to put our minds at ease, perhaps by simulating a matrix of stimulus approximating, you know, the height of human civilization…
Well… Only if you “combined it with a form of fusion”.
I’m thinking “late 90’s”

Granted, but only if the exit mechanism requires you to take estradiol.
Somebody should make a movie about that. 😋
Just one, though. It’s a great premise but I bet they’d try to make it a trilogy or something and just fuck it up.
But if those creators enlisted a bunch of other folks to make anime adaptions/extended stories, I bet that would be okay.
That dude running so hard he ran out of his own body and into the matrix. That still lives with me
I bet that would be okay.

maybe name it based on the kind of math that LLMs are built from, some kind of multiplication beginning with an m, it’s slipped my mind
Better yet, rent our unused brain space and let corporations use that wasted brain energy for their server farms … great income for the average person who seldom uses their brains. Then we could use that income to buy credits to have AI think for us … circle of life.
rent our unused brain space and let corporations use that wasted brain energy
But the corporations have the unused brain space. It correlates inverse to their income and executive power. They tend to waste it on doomscrolling Xitter and socializing while golfing.
What a ridiculous idea. The unused brain space is for ads! It’s like cryptomining but for Google and Facebook.
or for rendering AI porn … so much AI porn
I was too busy not using my brain to think of that
CHECKMATE!
Error ERROR does not compute. 💥 😋

There is no “unused” RAM in a Linux machine. RAM that is not allocated makes a wonderful disk cache, basically since the kernel knew block devices.
Especially if you use ZFS.
Feed him more data - brilliant.
I’m gonna edit the script to say I have 192 GB
And this, right here, is the last post by sorghum@sh.itjust.works before the Open AI repo men came for them.

“Call me daddy when I take it.”
Is that a star commonly used in communism? Your ram is my ram now
If it accurately reports it, I won’t need to edit the script.
That’s my point, I don’t want it to be accurate. I just want it to rage bait 'ol Scammy.
Yeah, I got that. But I’m bragging that I actually have 192 GB.
128 gang here, problem is the script send what is unused and well I use 90% of it. Its my ram and I want to use it all.
Okay, little jelly, but what the hell are you even doing with 64 GB of RAM? Are you running a mini-version of AWS?
I need huge amounts of RAM for video editing. When the bubble pops I’m hoping to upgrade to 128GB.
multiple VMs mostly
That’s only… roughly… not even 1 TB.
BLOODY ROOKIE!/s
