All I had in my pocket was the return ticket. All I had was the water from the water fountain. The next flight I got the very last seat, and it was in the smoking section. Ugh. But, I took it. Fortunately, I was so exhausted from getting almost no sleep the previous day, I slept through the entire flight. It took hours to clear that shit out of my lungs.

Age correlates with corruption, but does not cause it. Money is power and power corrupts.

Term limits would help mitigate corruption. It’s why we have term limits for the President, and we should have the same for Congress.

I disagree. Newly elected folks who aren’t career politicians are far less corrupt than those who’ve been in office for decades and who have established relationships with the filthy rich.

Power doesn’t initially exclusively attract people who want to abuse it, the corruption comes over time. Power corrupts, but not immediately.

Age isn’t the problem, corruption is. Politicians who have been in office longer are more corrupt, age is just a by product.
