Oh look perfectly timed dissent for dem voters. Right before.m the midterms
This is every election. Russian psyop propaganda designed to divide the morons from those what would vote to stop fascism.
Dems are awful they made their shitty bed now they lie in it
Rare to see a MAGA supporter here.
I donāt support MAGA.
Did you vote?
Not for Harris.
Miss me with that coronation bullshit. Fuck the DNC
Then you supported MAGA. Go sit down and learn something.
if you want to view it like that, go right ahead. I wonāt vote āblue no matter whoā though, thatās lemming behavior and a totally retarded stance to take
In 2016 they had a coordinated and clear effort to undermine the election and get Hilary in the primary over Bernie. Trump won.
In 2024 they all agreed to not challenge Biden despite serious concerns the ones in the know must have had.
Thats twice now they rolled out the red carpet for trump and in both cases it was to make damn sure their preferred candidate won the primary voters be damned.
It really should be brought up each election because it seems like they really want to keep doing it.
Dissent? I think you meant āaccurate reportingā.
(MJ does political reporting every day, 24-7, 365)
Truth do not care about your feeling and your political cult
No, they screwed over the american people. Bernie may have deserved the presidency, sure. The people deserved Bernie more.
Itās a long-honored tradition that liberals fuck over progressives.
Established rich people in the Democratic party did this
If leftists and progressives actually voted in primaries none of the fuckery would have amounted to anything, but they donāt.
Unfounded bullshit
Iāll just leave this here.
https://prospect.org/2024/06/18/2024-06-18-former-dccc-leaders-incumbent-house-democrats/
None of that addresses my point that none of you fuckin people vote in the fuckin primaries. If cons can tea party the republicans into fuckin nazis, goddamn leftists can tea party the dems into something halfway socialist, BUT THEY DONāT FUCKING VOTE IN PRIMARIES.
Leftists do vote in the primaries. They vote more then centrists do. Thatās not in doubt. The question is how we are supposed to handle the traitors. What do you do with snakes that hide their colors during the primary, but then betray the base during the general? You could say, ājust vote for the traitor now, and vote them out next primary,ā but thatās tone-deaf advice. First it rewards traitors. Second, when the next election comes around, suddenly the same exact people telling you āwait til the next primaryā change their tune to āwe canāt give up an incumbent seat in Ohio, this primary challenge is irresponsible!ā
For liberals, there simply is never a proper time to punish libshit dems that betray their voters.
Leftists do vote in the primaries. They vote more then centrists do.
No they didnāt. If they did, weād have a large progressive wing of the Dem party. We donāt, because leftists donāt fucking vote. Got any numbers to back up your bullshit? Gonna report this comment too so you you can try to look like youāre engaging in good faith? We both know better though donāt we?
The Dems cheat heavily in the primaries. As someone who votes in them and pays attention to the minutia of rule changes and whoās in the bureaucracy, I know. The most obvious cheating was with Bernie in 2016, if you feel like learning about this fact.
When it comes to your false equivalency about the tea party, what youāre leaving out is money.
See, the Pubs cheat in primaries too. Normally, the tea party would never have gained power. What got the tea party to the position where they could take over, was billions and billions and billions of dollars in funding, over decades.
Can you think of some hundred billionaires whoād like to donate heavily to the long-term goal of destroying their own power? Then we could easily take over the Democratic party in only the span of a generation. Without the billions, forget about it. There is a buy-in to go to war.
The fact that you donāt know any of this, brings into focus why you believe as you do. I love your passion. We need your passion fighting the right things at the right times. So youād benefit us all and yourself if you looked into everything Iām saying.
Vote, vote in primaries, but neither will fix the issue so you should be doing other things too, and definitely not attacking allies as if theyāre simply not trying hard enough to bang their heads against a brick wall.
The ācheatingā (prove that shit, by the way) wouldnāt amount to diddly fuck if goddamn progressives and leftists actually goddamn voted in the fuckin primaries.
Your attitude makes the whole viewpoint you espouse, look puerile and foolish. Not only are you not converting anyone, you are actively driving people from your cause. Which I can only assume now is your goal.
After 2016, the DNC got sued and stated in court that they are a private entity that does not have to abide by their primary results, that their primaries are just for show. Itās part of the public record.
There is plenty of other information for you to find on the 2016 DMC shenanigans leading up to that court case, but you come of as terribly disingenuous. So this pointer in the right direction is all the labor youāll get from me.
Hey, vote in the fucking primaries or shut the fuck up. Tell me specifically how telling people to fucking vote since itās the bare fuckin minimum political engagement is actually trying not to get people to vote. You got some fuckin republican logic here. Vote in the fuckin primaries. If you didnāt vote in the fuckin primaries then you are part of the problem. Once fuckin again my position consists of VOTE IN THE FUCKING PRIMARIES. Fuck the rest of your bullshit.
I think one point of the article is that progressive and leftist candidates have the odds stacked against them by the party itself. We see this repeating now for candidates like Angie Nixon. The silver lining is that leftist candidates are 10x better because they have to be in order to win.
Thatās why itās so important for leftists and progressives to vote in the primaries. But itās pretty well too late now, innit.
I get downvoted every time I call out establishment liberal dems for things like backtracking on trans rights, etc, in order to entice conservative voters, who will probably never vote for them, based on their so-called effective campaign platform of āOrange man bad,ā without any message of changing material conditions for citizens.
Dems willing to compromise in order to get elected and maintain their seats will absolutely join with GOP on issues like trans rights. I donāt know how the āvote blue lineā gaslighters canāt comprehend this.
The reason the hold so much responsibility in this is theyāre supposed to be the buffer against crazy alt-right fascism, but so many capitulate to it, like Hakeem Jeffries. They should be the ones fighting things like genocide in Gaza. Instead, they take the same AIPAC money, when they could be championing human rights and trying to pull anti-Zionist GOPs towards their direction, not the other way around.
Case in point: Reagancrats and Clinton. Liberal Dems donāt stand up for workers, they just go with the zeitgeist of the times. Because they inside trade and take bribes from special interests, too. They are not pro-worker or pro-social justice, they are pro-status quo.
I believe in voting. Vote! Donāt sit at home. Vote for candidates who are truly leftists and pro-worker and pro-human rights.
Theyāre probably trying to entice their own centrists and not MAGA.

This stupid ass obsession with sports permeates everything in American culture in stupefying ways.
Especially when no one in the US pays any attention to womenās sports. All of a sudden, it becomes a big issue when scapegoats are needed to perpetuate the cultural war. š
I donāt understand how people devote so much time to staring at sports games on a TV, when you could be enriching your life with family, hobbies or constructive things like meal prepping on Sundays, so one doesnāt have to shove expensive convenience junk from Mondelez, Nestle and Monsanto in their mouths during the week.
Hey! Queer women pay attention to womenās sports! Thatās not no one!
What you people donāt understand is that we are at a point now where āvoting blueā is a life-or-death vote against fascism. We are WAY past your little purity tests. We are fighting for our lives.
In 2024 when the Russia psyops had all the kids crying gEnOciDE! we lost. And every excuse the non-voting and 3rd party morons had boiled down to- āwell, the candidate didnāt jump though my every hoop and meet my demands perfectly, so I stayed home/voted for a loserā.
To simplify what Iām trying to say, if you have cancer- YOU TAKE THE CHEMO! You take the chemo, you get sick, then you hopefully get better and then you beat cancer.
You donāt pass on it just because it will make you sick and you donāt happen to like the idea that your hair will fall out.
You take the chemo so you have a chance to live. End of story.
What you are all doing is essentially fucking over everyone else because your entitlement affords you the luxury of taking a seat when others need you to stand up for them.
(If you voted, then this isnāt entirely about you personally, just those with the ideology that good is the opposite of perfect)
Democrats screwed everyone, together with Republicans, because theyāre the exact same people.
Ah look, people who want division in the left, right before the generals. I wonder what their true intentions might be. /s
20 seconds of scanning (not even reading) the article would show you how ridiculous your comment is.
Which is 19 seconds longer than they can ever read

Are you having a fun time today promoting oligarchy, war, and being anti-trans?
Please enlighten me and everyone else where Iāve done that or kindly go back to cheering on the dems that brought us trump
lmao
Jesus, what more could possibly be said about this a full ten years after?
The article is really about how the situation informs the current landscape and strategy for 2026 and 2028, but I guess you didnāt read it before commenting
I 100% did not. Thatās why my comment was in the form of a question. Because I couldnāt, and still canāt, imagine what a primary 10 years ago has to say about our current landscape that wouldnāt be better understood through recent campaigns like Mamdaniās, el-Sayedās, and pre-scandal Platnerās. Or if we need to examine losses, any of the times when the progressive got boxed out. Bernie had an entire second run between now and then.
The reason they frame it with Bernie is not because Bernieās run is more demonstrative of important current dynamics, itās because itās the progressive lost Lost Cause that will get clicks. Or in my case, not get clicks because literally everything that needs to be said about that election has already been said. Because it was 10 fucking years ago and people have been talking about it repeatedly for a literal decade.
I 100% did not.
The amount of pride this is said with is whatās infuriating. The answers were right there, but you couldnāt be fucking bothered.
If you had opened up the article and taken 20 seconds to scan, you would have gotten enough answer to continue reading. Or not, whatever, but you wouldnātāve made a stupid comment in the thread, at least.
You want the full picture of how our political landscape came to be what it is today? Youāre gonna have to start looking far back beyond 10 years ago my friend. No election cycle is only a 4 to 8 year bubble.
Ten years is awkwardly too recent to have emotional distance from the consequences and too late to be timely.
Some people need a constant reminder of the type of people they support
Since theyāre still beating the dead horse Iāve got something different to say:
Bernie Sanders lost the primaries by Millions of votes. Not Thousands, Not Hundreds of Thousands, but Millions.
He wasnāt even a DNC member and he got invited in the first place.
Sure, but he was already losing by an overwhelming majority before anyone voted. Hillary had something like 40 delegates already.
Edit: 360 delegates, actually.
So youāre saying that if Bernie started with 40 more delegates that MILLIONS more people would have voted for him instead? Fat chance, pal.
If it doesnāt matter, then why not just make it fair?
If you want me to come up with a reason why the person who receives millions more votes should become the representative then clearly you oppose democracy and idgaf about your opinion on anything.
Being chosen by the people is what is fair.
Isnāt that the popular vote?..
Popular vote: HRC: 16,917,853 Bernie: 13,210,550
Percentage: 55.2%, 43.1%Weāve been discussing how Bernie lost the popular vote this entire time. It was a brutal defeat where he was 2 digit percent margin. Even worse, in 2020 he lost to Joseph Biden when Biden literally doubled his vote.
I mean, for the last ten years people have been telling me Iām a conspiracy theorist for saying that the DNC fucked over Sanders, so I appreciate this article for backing me up lol
The DNC fucked over Bernie.
The primary voters voted for Hillary over Bernie, even before the superdelegates became relevant at the convention.
Both can be true.
Regardless of all the shenanigans with the superdelegates, I highly doubt that the DNC would have nominated Hillary if Bernie had actually won the primaries.
Voters could have seen through the DNC shenanigans and chose Bernie, but they didnāt.
Itās the same with all the dark money corporate contributions⦠Does it influence the result? The data surely shows that it does, but voters still have the choice to NOT let that dark money spending influence their decision.
Oh my God, how did you not already find one of the hundreds of other articles that gave that same validation in the last 10 years? If you were waiting for this moment for that, thatās pretty much on you.
This comment could have been avoided by 20 seconds of scanning the link.
All of that stuff in the book was more or less out in the open and publicity known during the primary campaign. Leftists and progressives could have registered to vote in the primary, and if they had none of the fuckery would have amounted to anything. But they didnāt and Hillary got nearly double the votes Bernie did. Also Bernie isnāt a democrat, everybody ignores this, of course the democratic party would favor an actual democrat for their nomination, but I digress. If leftists and progressives actually voted heād have won, but they didnāt, and it wasnāt remotely close.
Thatās not quite true. Joe Biden got double the votes Bernie did in 2020, but in 2016 HRC only beat him with a 12% margin, which is still millions of votes but not double.
You are correct, I was exaggerating the numbers, pulling incorrectly from memory.
