Trying to be as kind as I can, but why, and I can’t stress this enough, THE FUCK, does this have AI shoved into it?
It’s so confusing that I’ve had to re-read the README 3 times, it starts with an interesting proposition, then out of no-fucking-where there’s a config file asking for an OpenAI API key. It looks like the documentation for two different tools got smashed together randomly.

Mantis is a 24 year-old web-based GPL’d bug tracking application that just had a stable release last month.
This new project with a confusingly similar name is proprietary, and if you use it you have to agree to Augur AI’s yet-to-be defined terms of service:

Subject to the foregoing sentence, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Software solely for your internal business purposes.

That’s hilarious, thank you very much for pointing it out! I was so mindlessly sure that if something published on GitHub is a fork of a well-known Open Source project, it would be Open Source too — I haven’t even checked the license before posting it here. At least, it’s quite an interesting idea (and not an actual implementation), then…

I think that’s one thing that got lost when github became so widely used for project hosting. Some other hosts do/did enforce FOSS licensing.
I’ve seen it enough now that I always go read the license before I put any effort toward learning how to use something interesting I see on github.
The fact that the well-known FOSS package it was forking is offered under MPL 2.0 comes into play as well. The main reason for MPL is specifically to allow FOSS and proprietary components to coexist in one program. When Netscape first did their Open Source release, they needed that for a while.

Yes we did. Let me know if you would like to use the product and need a walkthrough.

It’s odd, you see this article title and look at the Github README and make it a few pages into the Getting Started content before you see any mention that Mantis intends for you to write your IaC not in terms of CUE, but as GPT prompts. https://mantis.getaugur.ai/docs/getting_started/codegen
I wonder when AI got bolted on.
