So there’s committing to the move on an intellectual level, and committing to the move on an emotional level. It sounds like you’ll need to do some digging to find out what’s really bothering your partner about all this. From what I’ve seen in the past, one frequent issue is moving away from family. (Or moving closer to family, sometimes that’s not great.)
