A new direction for computing: projecting information into the real world to augment it, with a device that combines a projector and computer vision in the shape of a large lightbulb.
This is an amazing concept and one of the most original yet obviously useful tech I have seen lately. Smart glasses are an obvious competitor to this, but the lightbulb computer has a multiplayer, “slow tech” feel to it and does not bring as many privacy nightmares with it…
. I’d buy this!
It only doesn’t have privacy nightmares until some company commercialises it while using server-side machine-learning processing for performance… regularly putting glasses into a padded Faraday cage sounds more practical than regularly removing lightbulbs on the ceiling.
